Wind Chill Advisory, Winter Weather Advisory

... Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 9 am CST Monday...
... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from noon Monday to
noon CST Tuesday...

* what... very cold wind chills and snow expected. Wind chills as
low as 25 to 35 below zero tonight. Total snow accumulations
of 5 to 7 inches expected starting Monday afternoon and
lasting through Tuesday morning.

* Where... Itasca, Cass, Crow Wing, and Aitkin counties.

* When... for the Wind Chill Advisory, until 9 am CST Monday. For
the Winter Weather Advisory, from noon Monday to noon CST
Tuesday. Snowfall rates will be most intense Monday night into
early Tuesday morning.

* Additional details... the dangerously cold wind chills could
cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes
tonight. Travel could be very difficult Monday night into
Tuesday morning. The hazardous conditions could impact the
Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Chill Advisory is issued when the combination of wind and
cold air create very cold wind chills. Frostbite and hypothermia,
which can lead to death, can occur if steps are not taken to
protect yourself. Cover up. Dress warmly and in layers. Travel
with extra blankets or additional clothing in case of vehicle

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
