... Wintry impacts to the morning commute...

As of 6 am, a moderate to heavy snow band was moving into the Boston
Metro area. Communities around Peabody, MA were reporting big sized
snowflakes along with light, slushy accumulations on all surfaces.
Visibility was reduced down to 1 to 2 miles.

Discreet snow banding is likely to continue through the early morning
hours across central and eastern portions of MA, as well as northern
RI. Mainly as heavy, wet snowflakes, perhaps some rain mixed in, will
likely see localized issues with respect to lower visibility with the
potential for quick accumulations upwards of an inch possible on all
surfaces.

A heads up for motorists, if encountering any moderate to heavy snow
this morning, take it slow and give yourself extra time. Remember,
wipers on, headlights on.
