... Freeze watch remains in effect from late tonight through
Thursday morning...

* temperatures... as low as 31.

* Timing... 3 am to 8 am Thursday morning.

* Impacts... freezing temperatures could kill sensitive vegetation.

* Location... northern Connecticut, northwest Rhode Island, as
well as portions of Massachusetts where the growing season has
not officially ended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A freeze watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible.
These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.

... A brief period of 35 to 45 mph wind gusts may result in a few
downed trees and isolated power outages between 2 and 8 PM this
evening...

A strong cold front will cross the region this afternoon and
early this evening. A band of scattered showers may accompany
this cold front and result in a brief period of 35 to 45 mph wind
gusts, especially over the higher terrain. Given that we still
have fully leafed trees, the potential exists for a few downed
trees and isolated power outages. The main time of concern is
between 2 and 8 PM this evening.
