... Slick spots on area roads and very cold conditions
overnight...

Temperatures are expected to continuing falling into the single
digits across eastern Kentucky overnight. This will lead to slick
spots on any untreated roads. Meanwhile, wind chills will fall to
near zero degrees at times late tonight, and possibly even below
zero in some locations. If going outside tonight, limit your
exposure time and make sure you are dressed appropriately for the
bitter cold. If you have outdoor pets, bring them inside if
possible or make sure they have a warm place to stay with food and
water, and are not overly exposed to the extreme cold.

With temperatures in the teens and lower 20s into the evening
expect slick spots on untreated roads to persist. Temperatures
will drop quickly after dark tonight, with readings reaching the
single digits by dawn most places. Meanwhile, wind chills will be
down near zero degrees at times late tonight. If going outside
tonight make sure you are dressed appropriately for the bitter
cold.
